These skills are sometimes grouped into two main categories. Firstly, receptive skills which include listening and reading. As we listen and read, we build up our knowledge from others. Secondly, speaking and writing are known as productive skills. When we speak or write, we share with others the information and knowledge we have. As a matter of fact, a person will not be able to give if he has nothing. It seems to me that receptive skills come first and then followed by productive ones. This does not mean that we learn each skill seperately. For this reason, we can say they are integrated. A student has to improve these skills by practice as much as they can. Having been said, practice makes perfect. I have been interested in translation from Arabic in to English and vice versa since my undergraduate studies. Furthermore, using technology in teaching has great impact on the learning process. I am doing my best to integrate teaching translation with modern technology as possible as I can. This dream has been stuck in my mind for years and I am sure that dreams come true one day.
